COMMUNITY

group of bikers

At Trev’s Mobile Bike Shed, we’re driven by a deep commitment to our community.
Our passion for bike repair goes far beyond just fixing bikes - we’re dedicated to using our skills to make a difference. From building bikes for kids and adults with special needs to collaborating with local organizations like Kind Human 4 Human Kind, we ensure that everyone has access to safe, reliable transportation and a fun way to exercise and play. Together, we’re working to make the Blue Water Area a better place, one bike at a time.

WHEELS
OF
KINDNESS

During our first season in 2024, an anonymous donor gave us a beautiful bicycle that she could no longer use.  Trev saw an opportunity to make a real difference.  Knowing of Kind Human 4 Human Kind (KH4HK), a local organization that connects at-risk residents with much-needed essentials, Trev quickly reached out to join forces.  KH4HK knew of a homeless woman lacking reliable transportation to get to work so Trev quickly repaired and tuned-up the bike.  Together, they surprised the woman with an incredible gift.  Thanks to the anonymous donor, what could have been thrown in the trash, instead gained a new, momentous purpose.  This act of kindness will continue to work wonders for years to come!

Fast forward to spring of 2025 and we are pleased to roll out Wheels of Kindness in partnership with Kind Human 4 Human Kind and the Port Huron Police Department.  This community-driven initiative connects individuals with limited resources to essential transportation while reducing waste and promoting sustainability.  The Wheels of Kindness program refurbishes unclaimed bicycles found by the Port Huron Police Department and those generously donated by members of the community.  Rather than remaining unused or dumped in the landfill, these bikes will have a second opportunity to be useful and appreciated.  It is our pleasure to carefully inspect and repair each bike to ensure it’s safe and dependable.

ADAPTIVE CYCLES

GIVING WHEELS, CHANGING LIVES

Trev’s Mobile Bike Shed is pleased to offer a unique fundraising initiative in partnership with Michigan’s Department of Health and Human Services to bolster inclusion in the great outdoors.

Adaptive Cycles offers individuals with special needs the freedom and mobility that comes with a custom-built bike.

Riding a bicycle is beneficial in many ways. It broadens your world and strengthens your mind, body, and soul while bringing joy into your life. Like most things however, one size does not fit all. The Adaptive Cycles program helps us to bridge the gap and make a widely-enjoyed activity much more inclusive.

Money raised for this program will be directly used to purchase specially designed cycles that fit the individual needs of each client. Trev’s Mobile Bike Shed will donate all labor to assemble, adjust, and ensure each bike is perfectly tailored for comfort and safety. With the support of generous neighbors like you, we can provide this precious gift to children and adults throughout St. Clair County.

Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the quality of life of others!
